Please note that, due to a serious fire on the evening of February 9th 2008, the Canal Market is closed until further notice. All other parts of Camden Market continue to be open to visitors.

Perhaps less well known than the other Camden markets, the Canal Market lies off to the east of the main road running between Camden Town and Chalk Farm Underground stations. Turn off the main road into the covered entrance tunnel by the road bridge, or enter directly from the canal towpath.

For many years this market was an unpretentious general market, but it has now become a much more interesting place to visit.

About 150 stalls and shop units sell a wide range of goods including fashion accessories, recorded music, computer games, clothing, jewellery, giftware and a few traders offer collectables. You can also enjoy international take-away food here.
